On Saturday, India urged for an end to the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, expressing support for any initiatives that could facilitate peace. During his address at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated, "Each of us has the opportunity to contribute to peace and prosperity. Countries that are not directly involved in the conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza have also felt their impact."
Speaking from the esteemed platform of the UN General Assembly hall, Jaishankar called on world leaders, emphasizing that nations capable of engaging with all parties should step forward to seek solutions.
He reiterated, "India calls for an end to the war and will support any efforts that help restore peace." The minister highlighted that the ongoing major conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East overshadow numerous other critical issues that often go unreported.
